Minerals and crystals are the art of mother nature.

Pyrite on matrix
Navajun, Spain

(Naturally crystallized pyrite on limestone.)

Pyrite is popularly called “fools gold”, because of its goldcoloured, metallic-shimmering surface . Its chemical content is sulphur and iron, stuck to each other with metal binding. Pyrite belongs to the cubic crystal system. They are found all over the earth. The Inkas used pyrites as mirrors. The most perfect cubic crystals on the market are usually from Spain.

Chrysocolla
Arizona, USA

Chrysocolla is a soft coppermineral, that often occurs with quartz.

Chrysocolla does not show any crystallic shape by its own. This picture illustrates how the chrysocolla give color to a transparent and colourless druse of quartz. The highest valued combination of these two minerals is the gemstone quality “gem silica”, which is a very appreciated gemstone.
